SOOO much love for this book. I'm tempted to buy it, it's that awesome. It's also one of those 're-read when you are currently unsure of what to read next books. Enough said, go read it! Anthony Doerr is just as good a writer as Andy Weir ("The Martian").

A pretty easy read, easy on the eyes, but ultimately sort of a letdown straight after Octavia Butler's family saga about aliens.

All the Light We Cannot See was a beautifully written book full of descriptive prose that made me feel like I was in the story myself.

I usually don't give 5-starred reviews.

This book blew me away, the spectacular writing pulling me in, the compelling characters as realistic as a live human.

It also really wasn't about the plot. I liked that.
