It was a fine book. Nothing super wrong but the story felt a bit bland. I liked Paisley and that she finally stood up for herself and her job but it took longer than it should’ve. I wish she would’ve challenged him harder and pushed him more to get better earlier on. I think it would’ve been more interesting. Maksim was more arrogant than he seemed in Aidan’s book which I didn’t like. He still had sweet moments but was pretty clueless on how to be in a real relationship and no one really worked with him to show/teach him how. Just kind of felt like the better aspects of the book were skipped over to focus on small, surface level issues.
