This was my least favorite in the series, unfortunately. The writing seemed a little worse and I just didn’t quite understand what this book was supposed to bring to the series. Only the first few chapters are a prequel or take place “before,” the rest is book 1 repeated from Hardin’s point of view.
Took me forever to finish this book. If I hadn't of brought it and wasn't such a cheap skate, it would be in my DNF pile. I love all of the other books in this series and was OBSESSED with Hardin so when I saw that this was going to be from his perspective, I was excited. This book just repeats what was stated previously, there isn't many new moments. Also, there are many POVs from characters and it has no meaning to the situation of Hessa.

This book was mainly Hardins POV of After. As it was basically after all over again it was a bit underwhelming. Although it did give an insight to what Hardin was feeling and why he was always so angry and fighting everyone around him. So I suppose it provided some answers to questions you may have had in After!
There were also chapters from other peoples POV too such as Landon’s and other back round characters which was kinda cool!

i loved the after series, but i’m not a huge fan of prequel modge podges of points of view. i didn’t really enjoy the before girls’ povs. i really liked hardin’s after pov, but didn’t love how it felt rushed a bit. i would’ve loved to see the first book over again, completely from his pov because i felt like their were a few significant scenes missing that i would’ve liked to see. the after povs weren’t my fav either, though i did like to see their little family together. it was a good one, just a bit rushed
Honestly this series could have done without this book. It was nice to hear the background on the girls and Hardins perspective from the first book. But it felt like it was just repeating the same things over and over from the series. I didn't find the new info given to be very interesting or something that drew me in.
