Now, the last book in the entire After series. This was a really nice read for me because the first after book was all from Tessa's POV whereas in this book we get to go back and see what exactly hardin was thinking as well as getting to know some of the other characters before or around the time of meeting Hardin.
I absolutely loved this entire series and if I'm honest it's the first series I've ever read where I've already been anticipating reading it again straight after!

The least favorite of the After series for me. Still great though.
“ I dragged Tess and myself through hell and back, but here we are—After everything, we made it to our own version of heaven. “

3-3.5 stars. It’s a short read, I finished it in a day. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book and after finishing the previous books I wasnt excited to read this but I now get why it was written and feel its worth the read. It gives Hardin as well as other characters some backstory as well as provided a little more closure to the end of the 4th book which I felt was rushed at the end.

Overall, it was okay. I’ll break it down based on the parts of the book.
PART ONE: This was mainly backstory on a few side characters (Molly, Steph, etc).
PART TWO: A lot of it was just reiterating what already happened in Book 1 but from Hardin’s point of view.
I did like getting to see Hardin’s POV and thoughts behind certain events but it was hard to stay interested enough to want to keep on reading.
PART THREE: I really enjoyed this part of the book because I felt that this is where most of the new content is. You get some more Hessa content (post book 4), and some POV chapters from Zed, Landon, Christian, & Smith where you get a slight glimpse into their lives after the fourth book.
So if you’re uninterested in re-reading events from the first book, I’d recommend just reading Parts One & Three.
