It skips a lot and doesn’t give much context in some chapters that are needed to understand. I would say read directly after after so that doesn’t happen but it would also have spoilers for book 2-4. I do love seeing the different perspectives

Can I just say I loved the ending, and yes spoilers are coming



I loved how everyone grew, especially Hardin. However the skipping around years part did make me the tiniest bit confused but I do believe it was extremely necessary to show the growth of all of the characters. I especially loved how Todd was able to describe the children.


I also really loved how Todd integrated different point of views, it really gave us insight into the story. My favorite point of view had to be Smith's and Christian's. Seeing how the brilliant child thought was very intriguing, and seeing more on Christian and Trish's past was also very very interesting.

All in all I give it a 5/5 because I believe this book rightfully deserves it!!
