I loved having some knowledge of what Hardin was thinking in after because we never really knew and something about me is in a book I can't fully trust a character if I don't know their intentions. If I don't have their pov I learn to trust them once they show they are worthy and honest. But with Hardin, it was hard because he was so difficult it was good to finally look in the boy's head for the beginning of the story. I also loved the smith part it was adorable. Their story ended on a good note and I'm so happy for them.
Personally, I was not a fan of the series but somehow I read all 5 books. I just couldn't handle not finishing them. I did read the first part and the last part of the last two books. I am happy tho that they broke the cycle of going back and forth and Hardin got better. I just didn't like how cruel his thoughts were throughout this book.
Wasn’t the greatest. Could have passed. It was nice to hear Hardin side may have been nice if that was all it was..
I HATED this book. This is the first book of this year that I just couldn't finish, I skimmed over most of it. It's basically the first book all over again and as much as I liked the first book I didn't need to see Hardin's point of view because it didn't really add anything. There's a couple of extra bits about the other characters but nothing of importance.
Another thing that bothered me is how inaccurate Anna's writing is when writing English characters. It's something I noticed in the other books with Hardin but I thought perhaps where he'd lived in America for a while he'd picked up the language.
However, when Natalie has her part in the book she uses phrases such as "parking lot" and other American terms that we don't use in England. It's a really simple problem but it bothered me so much.
So yeah in short I didn't like this at all.
