This series was awesome and this book really brought it all together and let you see things from other POV. It was a great ending.

As many other reviewers have said, Before doesn’t add that much new information to the story. I enjoyed getting Hardins perspective on meeting Tessa for the first time and dealing with the guilt of the bet but in reality it was basically just like reading After again. The chapters from Molly’s and Steph’s perspectives didn’t do much for me, didn’t really make me feel any sympathy for them and I didn’t really have much interest in reading the perspectives of Zed, Smith, Christian, or Landon. Overall this book was pretty unnecessary but I did enjoy the two new chapters at the end.

Not as compelling as the other books in the series, so I’m taking off one star for that, and then the two stars left are for.....idek what

Speechless, yet also saddened because the journey is over. This series has accompanied me through high school and now going into senior year, it's definitely bittersweet knowing I don't have another book detailing Hessa's relationship to accompany me. Before was the perfect ending, giving not only Hardin's point of view but the views of many influential characters. I hope many of you have enjoyed this emotional roller coaster as much as I have! xx

I struggled so hard to get into this book. I don’t really feel like it was needed if I’m being honest. Just about halfway through I almost DNF’ed it. I’m glad I didn’t because I do appreciate Hardin’s perspective through the events of the first book. But I don’t know, this book just wasn’t it for me?

I feel like it maybe didn’t go deep enough? I don’t know. I’m still processing but it just was odd. I will say I did enjoy the last few chapters, getting background on some of the other characters the reader got to know through the books. I also liked that we got more closure in what the future between Hardin and Tessa looked like.

So, I don’t know. I liked it, I guess. I could have done without it. I wish the chapters about their “present day” relationship had just been added to the last book instead of put in this book.

I guess if you’re looking to understand Hardin’s perspective more, read this book. But I don’t think it’s necessary. I don’t think you miss out on much if you don’t read it. Just be sure you’re reading in order, if you read this book after “After” you’ll be clobbered with spoilers
