Bailey's second book, Hyperfocus, is a great companion to his first, The Productivity Project. Bailey combines practical, research-backed advice with writing that is both funny and accessible. As with his first book, I love how he combines the practices of mindfulness with productivity and effectively challenges obsession with busyness and getting stuff done at any cost. I particularly found the section on the information we consume enlightening and will strive to be more deliberate in how I spend my time – and what 'dots' I consume.

If you want to improve your mental health and your productivity, reading Bailey's The Productivity Project and HyperFocus is a fantastic place to start.

This was an enlightening title, which I could not get enough of, although it took me some time to finish, it had different stimulating points within it which carried weight. I would recommend this to anyone looking to expand their contributions to work and personal life. It does help you determine when you are burnt out, or need to take a step back from a situation. As well as how to focus and get your work done efficiently.

Some may think it odd that by the second half of the book much of the information is encouraging you to daydream, it leads to great solutions to things that are problems you may be working on, but not know the solution. I would recommend this to anyone looking to amp up their professional lives.

The book introduces two main concepts of hyperfocus and scatterfocus, which are opposing sides of the same coin but can improve the productivity to accomplish something you want to do.
In essence, the book is a plea for a more intentional approach.
In the book, there are various techniques, studies and stories to get an idea of how to approach a life with more intention.
While the concepts in this book are not groundbreaking, I liked the clarity of thoughts and the keywords the author gave those two modes to be in.

Overall, I can recommend this book to everyone who wants to achieve more and live a life with more intention.

I thought this was a really good guide to achieving focus and improving concentration. Some of the tips I has recently started doing before I read this book so it was nice to see that I was in agreement with this book. I definitely found some interesting tidbits in there and it's a book I could see myself returning to for advice in the future.
