Not actually a shark book, but a zombie book, and everyone is a complete idiot.

I'll start by saying this book had an excellent premise—just a shitty execution.

Here's why I think that:

—No distinct male characters. They had basic names and similar personalities so it was difficult to keep them all straight.

—Pointless, unnecessary and offensive rape joke and then scene.

—Rampant misogyny. Every woman in this story existed to further the character arc of a man and/or was a tired stereotype.

—use of the f slur x2.

—Story structure was good, but the pacing was terrible. The story dragged consistently.

—Not enough shark attacks.

—Repetitive descriptions in action scenes.

—Unsatisfactory climax.

Overall, this story had great potential but got bogged down by typical white male bullshit.
