I really enjoy this series. Parts were slow and hard to get through but once it picked up, it was hard to put this book down. Great read and can’t wait for the next book after this.

This is by far my favourite of the Department Q series. For those who have never tried Nordic mysteries like the Boy in the Suitcase or the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, this is a great series to delve into. Highly recommended.

Amazing, as always. I bought this book yesterday, and I'm finished today. I think that speaks for itself.

Eh. Disclaimer—picked this up off the shelf having never read the previous novels in the series, so I was a bit at a loss about the character dynamics.

It was an engaging and creative detective novel with good pacing at points, but it reaaaaally dragged in the middle. Thought about putting it down multiple times. The writing felt distinctly Scandinavian and I enjoyed the dry humor.

I’ve heard the first in the series is the best and this was good enough to go back and read that eventually.
