A fun and ridiculous story. The two main characters achieve what better trained and equipped authorities cannot through quick-wittedness, luck, and stubbornness. I heard this story described as a romp and think that's pretty accurate.
As part of my goal to read diverse books in 2016, I wanted to read my first Agatha Christie novel. My attempt to read diverse books has much to do with the diversity of the authors' nationality, ethnicity, and sexual orientation, but I haven't focused too much on gender because I tend to read women authors quite heavily. But I am not focusing only on the diversity of the authors, but also on the types of books I am reading. I read a wide range of genres, but I rarely read mysteries, so I decided at the very minimum I would read one Agatha Christie novel. It didn't disappoint. I couldn't put it down! It's always a sign of a good book when you neglect other tasks in order to read- I certainly did that with this book. And kudos to AC- just when I thought I had everything figured out, she surprised me with a twist! I can't wait to read more of her books.
Agatha Christie is an amazing mystery writer. I loved this book. It's a Tommy and Tuppence book. It's full of interesting twists and characters. Sometimes it got a little confusing but you can't help get completely involved in the mystery of Jane Finn. Loved it -- highly recommended.

It was ok, but I found the main characters to be idiots, so really couldn't believe that they could pull off what they were doing.
Probably my least favorite book by Agatha Christie. The first in the Tommy and Tuppence Mysteries, I really struggled to get into this book. The characters did not appeal to me at all. I missed Agatha Christie’s classical whodunnit style of story as this book felt more like a spy story than a mystery. Not really looking forward to the other books in the series.
