I really enjoyed this book. After reading [b:Midwinter Murder: Fireside Mysteries from the Queen of Crime|54966697|Midwinter Murder Fireside Mysteries from the Queen of Crime|Agatha Christie|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1597572036l/54966697._SY75_.jpg|75734974] which has a short story featuring Tommy and Tuppence I knew I had to read more featuring them. I am really glad that I did as this book didn't disappoint.

This is my first foray into reading Christie. The plot moves quickly and the two protagonists, Tommy and Tuppence, are lovable, easy friends. The prose is light, the characters are fun, and the story moves effortlessly. This would be an excellent beach read, and altogether quite enjoyable.
I adored this book! Didn’t really expect much going in, but found the story really fun and charming overall. Loved how fast-paced it was considering Christie’s stories tend to lean on the slower side. Also enjoyed Tommy and Tuppence’s back and forth. I look forward to reading more of their stories!
I started this on audio, and mystery books just don't work well for me in this format. It's easy to miss the subtle little nuances of the story that end up being important. So I finished the last quarter or so on paper, but I felt like I missed a lot of the punch of the ending... Anyway, it's a good book that I wish I'd read entirely on paper.

2 brilliant 20 somethings running around London and involving themselves in espionage in the 20s?! YES PLEASE. Tuppence is a total bad ass woman! Perfect book to bring a bit of the roaring 20s into the 2020s! Oh and a little love story on the side! Now a firm favourite and I cannot wait to read the rest of the Tommy and Tuppence novels
The Great War has ended and Tommy Beresford and Prudence 'Tuppence' Cowley are broke. Wanting excitement they decide to form the 'Young Adventureres Ltd' - will do anything and go anywhere as their slogan. Before long they find themselves embroiled in an adventure, a deadly adventure. But who can they trust.
An enjoyable story, a good start to the series.
