This book was sooooooo long...but so sweet!
Honestly, I usually finish a book in one sitting (or until I pass out from exhaustion) but this one was a bit stop and go for me. However, the story was lovely and the characters adorable.
The cast of characters were real. The FMC and MMC had both experienced painful loss, and their journey of healing through trust and vulnerability was really beautiful. The sister was so sweet, I loved her and can't wait for her book.
Spice level 🌶 2/5

Battle Royal just stuck out to me and latched on.
We not only get a rivals to lovers romance, but also grumpy/sunshine that like written for me!
The relationship between them slowly builds throughout the course of this novel, and is portrayed in a realistic, relatable manner.
I started reading, and I ended up devouring the story in less than a day. Y'all there's so much delicious food in here.
Lucy Parker has written a really fun book here that I would definitely recommend.
Can't wait to see what the next book holds.
Special thanks to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for sharing this ARC with me in exchange for an honest review.

Ahh this book was so good. There was a very magical aspect to it, probably because it involved the royal palace. Dominic was sooo swoon-worthy and a sweetheart! Love the sunshine-grumpy trope so much!!!!

“I’ve had many feelings about Sylvie, none of them casual” UGH we love Dom
I read the 2nd book in this series months ago without knowing it was connected to this one and I LOVED it and also really enjoyed this one! The bakery setting was so fun and the competition between them was adorable. No 3rd act break up, only good tension haha.
Spoilers!!
I’m so glad they didn’t ruin Jays character and make him an asshole after telling Sylvie how he feels. I appreciated that they stayed friends and he was able to act maturely about the whole situation.
