While celebrating their nana’s 80th birthday on her little island called Seaglass, one by one each of the Darker family members turns up dead. Obviously inspired by Agatha Christie’s book And Then Their Were None, I think it borrowed a bit too heavily so it’s not very original. However, there are some surprises in this deranged family and I enjoyed reading it.

Solid thriller. I listened to the audiobook, and I felt like I was with the characters trying to solve the mystery.

I really enjoyed this! I was not anticipating the twist at the end - it really took me by surprise! The plot was fab and kept me gripped until the end.

‼️spoiler ahead‼️
It wasn’t too bad. The beginning draaaagggggeed. It took way to long for it to get good. The characters were all insufferable. I was literally at 82% mark when it started getting good in my opinion and for that i will not give it a high rating because i didn’t enjoy most of the book! And the twist was soo unexpected it kind of left you like “wait be f****** for real

“Everyone’s life has uncharted waters - the places and people you didn’t quite manage to find - but when you feel as though you never will, it’s a special kind of sorrow.”

This was okay. I loved RPS so much and I was convinced I would love this too. Sadly, the characters were all cartoonish and silly, the writing lacked its usual cleverness, I called the final twist on page 78.
