This one took me on a wild ride. At the very beginning, I was concerned that I already had the twist figured out but it turns out the author had more in store!
It was SO obvious to be that Daisy was dead and I was worried that I had already figured out the “twist” so early on. In fact, I think I would give this book 5 stars if it had turned out that she wasn’t dead at all. However, I was still surprised and enjoyed the story. I don’t know how I feel about the murder suicide and leaving a 15 year old girl to be parented by her dead 13 year aunt…but 🤷‍♀️ I kind of wish it hadn’t been a supernatural twist and rather some other real life explanation but I did enjoy the fact that her horrible family ended up dead.

Enjoyed this one a lot - thought I had it figured out a few times throughout but absolutely did not!

the tone of the writing does feel slightly immature/juvenile but that could be intentional to reflect the main character. i didn’t guess the twists at all so it did what i wanted it to do as a thriller! i love dysfunctional families and this definitely delivered but the characters felt pretty flat outside of that - i also didn’t care for the preachiness from nana but i can see how some would like it. the ending felt a little “unrealistic” in a way i wasn’t prepared for but i still really enjoyed it overall.

A really fun locked room mystery with nods to Agatha Christie.

Really enjoyed this one, the back and forth timeline helped with the pacing and added an extra layer to the mystery and the characters. I can't think of much else to say about it really, it was a good time and I'd love to see it made into a film. Would definitely recommend.

And Then There Were None meets cheerful children's book author. Extremely fun read, builds a good level of suspense and weaving family history and drama.

I did call the twist ending, the narrator being a ghost, but it was still fun to guess how and when as the story goes on. And guessing WhoDunnit.
