It's in His Kiss by Julia Quinn

My favorite of the Bridgerton books I’ve read although I am skipping around in order. I like Hyacinth and Gareth together, but my biggest complaint with the book is that Quinn tells you what to think about Hyacinth too often. Hyacinth IS mischievous and opinionated, but we don’t need so many reminders from her friends and family. Pacing continues to be a problem with Quinn’s novels, but worked better here. I only wish she had taken the opportunity for Hyacinth to discover Gareth’s identity before he told her the circumstances of his birth. To me it would have been more interesting conflict than the “I’m kinda barely engaged to this random neighbor I knew when I was a kid.” I also hate how she introduces chapters now that Lady Whistedown isn’t writing anymore. It just gives her an excuse to be lazy when setting the scene tbh. Lastly, the “period accurate” ableism

I didn't think I was going to enjoy this book, but WOW, I loved it. Gareth and Hyacinth were so fun and witty. Lady Danbury—she's such a ridiculous woman, I love her in this book! I adore her relationship with Hyacinth, and she was so funny when her grandson asked Hyacinth to be his wife. I think this has to be my favorite book in the series.

Hyacinths story! Honestly, this one is probably top three of the Bridgerton series. It was fun and had a great storyline along with the romance. Hyacinths character is so funny and she really ended up with the perfect person for her. And her relationship with Lady Danbury! So sweet!
