mysterious tense medium-paced

A fabulous whodunnit thriller from a Canadian writer. Publishing March 7, 2023.

This book has a compelling, well crafted plot with well developed characters. There are clues throughout the read that kept me guessing up until the near end.
There is a simmering, a kind of boiling but not boiling over hum all through the book.

The crime is so very plausible, what happened here happens in real life and it made the book so enjoyable.

The main character, Nadine, was so likeable and the perfect detective character.
And the suspects, there were just enough, each with their own motives and secrets, you couldn’t help but despise them. The red herrings were cutely placed throughout and it all made for an excellent read.

You could see that there was careful planning and attention to detail when writing this novel, I highly recommend if you love whodunnit thrillers.

1⭐️ = Not For Me.
Paperback.
I borrowed this from a work colleague and thought it would be good. It wasn’t. Following an unusual and intense start, the plot meandered all over the place and I just became bored.
