It was a slow burn but worth it for the payoff. The ending is abrupt but the book opens in medias res, which we later find out are just minutes before the ending and the big reveal so I went back and read that again and it felt like a little more closure.

Interesting book and I would have given it close to 4 stars but lowered it to 3.5 because of one really annoying point. I expect authors to do their homework around anything that must be factual in the writing of their book. This was not the case in at least three situations in this book. I won’t spoil the story except to say that the errors are around the treatment of diabetes. The story was still interesting and I will search more books written by this author. The whole book revolves around a 24 hour period with flashbacks to a situation from the past.

3.5 star.

It started off kind of slow, but I really enjoyed the reveal. It took awhile to get there.

I was completely unable to put this down. The concept - knowing the murderer but not the victim - was refreshing and kept me guessing the whole book!
