Not actually a sequel but a link to Dictionary of Lost Words, this novel is set around the first world war. Twin sisters destined to work in the bindery section - one is autistic and the other takes on the responsibility of looking after her once their mother has died. The story shows the strengths in both of them, the horrors of war and the everlasting effects it has on people who survived.

I loved this book and the way Pip Williams encourages you to think about the nature of writing, authorship and literature on a broader scale. Set in the backdrop of WWI Britain, the novel touches upon important themes of women's suffrage and its questions transcend time and space. Really loved it.
