A good follow-up to the Dictionary of Lost Words. The same charm, although I didn’t love it quite as much.

4.5 stars for this bookish look at at women working in a bindery during WWI in England. Education, having the vote, life options, and on and on. I’m both inspired and super frustrated in their behalf.

Everything I've ever wanted in a novel

Absolutely stunning. The voice that Pip gives to women in history is unparalleled. Their stories and struggles and strength. I love that Peggy persisted and didnt fold to pressures to get married.
