This was the funnest book I've read all year. I was hooked from the very first page. This got me out of the biggest book slump. The vibes were there and J Bree delivered
I’m trying to keep my feminine rage in check and wait for the moment when the guys switch to scorched earth instead of pouty babies. The story is intriguing but I am wondering how this progresses enough for all the books.
Did I like this? Did I hate this? I don’t know. But what I do know is I’m hooked and this is crack.

The writing was essentially like a wattpad book. Had low expectations when I started and they weren’t even met.

Definitely a setup book with lots of world-building in a dark, dystopian setting. Gave me Zodiac Academy meets Hunger Games vibes. The FMC is kind of hard to like, and her five “bonds” are… a lot. It’s pretty slow for most of the book, but the last few chapters finally pick up and get things moving. Curious to see where the story goes next—hoping for a bit more spice and some humor in the next few books.
