This is written like a tv show but it is dramatic and reads like a prologue kinda excited for more
medium-paced

That was a pleasant surprise

I don’t know if it is just me, but the beginning of this book is confusing. It didn’t flow nicely, and it took a bit to get into it. I also felt like I was missing part of the story as I started reading. However, the flow did improve as the story progressed.

The FMC has so much mystery and fear surrounding her. We don’t learn much about her in this book. I’m excited to see what more she can do because her power seems wicked. Her bonds are all widely different and are pretty awful towards her. Gryphon and Atlas are my favorites so far. Atlas is very protective and Gryphon is a stable person for her towards the end of this book.

The pacing was a medium speed in this book. The beginning felt a bit slow, but I felt like it was necessary for the world building. The last 3rd is where it picked up and it was great!

This book got me out of a book slump… and that’s not something I take lightly. I read the entire series back to back and I have zero regrets about it.

This book was slow, and there was limited world building, plus the FMC was talking 24/7 about not being able to use her powers or else hell will break loose. So, of course, I was very curious and very annoyed. But it also left me wanting more, wanting to understand what happened to her and what her powers were. I wanted to understand why she would run away from 5 amazing guys? Like, come on, we can barely hold on to one, and she got 5, but she’s leaving them behind to live on the run? I wanted to crack open their minds and learn everything all at once.

The more I learned about it from Oli’s POV, the more I felt for this girl. She’s been through so much and yet she’s so compassionate and humble. If I had her powers, it would be over for anyone that ruined my day.

My favourite guy in this book was Atlas because he was so different from the others, and very open. And the dinner scene with North? Okaaaaay. Gryphon giving her his hoodies, sleeping in her bed, comforting her? Yes, sir, that’s how you become my favourite and he was well on his way!

Does no one else find it weird that this girl is barely 19, and all of these possibly grown men are lusting after her? Why does she have to be a teenager?!

I wasn't a huge fan of this. I didn't like the vibes and I didn't like the FMC. The boys had enough of my interest to keep reading.... Even though they all seem pretty one dimensional.

The whole thing just seems so unrealistic. The emotional reactions everyone is having (constantly, annoying reactions and bickering) aren't relatable. This is clearly going to be a smut driven sort of series, WHICH IS TOTALLY FINE, but at least make the characters a little more human....

Literally nothing plot wise happens until about 80% through the book. I feel like there were just enough unanswered questions to keep me interested through the end.

I did finish it, but I only because it was relatively short. If this was a 500 page book I would have DNF'd it long before the end.
Not sure I will continue with the whole series, but I will at least try and give book 2 a shot.
