What a fun book to learn the alphabet with. Aside from being just funny, I loved that this book showed both upper and lower case letters.

I think that this is the most amazing alphabet book ever, word-wise. ([b:Animalia|682751|Animalia|Graeme Base|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1344705263s/682751.jpg|2347064] wins for pictures, I think.)

We've been collecting Dr. Seuss books for quite some time, because we tend to like them. I never read this book as a child, and I'm almost glad, because I get to be so astounded now as an adult.

First of all, there's great meter. Second, there's tons of alliteration. Third, the alliteration is not only at the beginnings of words, but inside them, too:

"Barber
baby
bubbles
and a
bumblebee"

"Four fluffy feathers
on a
Fiffer-feffer-feff."

I actually didn't notice this until my son had insisted on me reading this to him about twenty times. I woke up in the middle of the night and thought, "Hey!" And since I practically have this book memorized (the catchy rhythm and alliteration help), I went through the book in my head at four in the morning and realized exactly how amazing this book is.

Simple words. Amazing alliteration. Great meter. Incredible creativity. How did he manage?

Kept my kid's attention, makes the alphabet exciting.

This book is great for children and a fun way to learn the ABCs. It is entertaining and a good read.

Fun way to learn the alphabet, Seuss-ified. It contains my name in the 'J' section, so 5/5 stars.

The antics of Dr. Seuss enchants beginning readers ages two to three years old in this alphabet-filled fantasy circus. Written and illustrated by this lovable author, ABC begins with the entire alphabet pasted to the inside cover, front and back, for easy reference. From there we quickly move past “Aunt Annie’s Alligator” (4) and a ceiling-strutting camel because we can and learning our alphabet should be fun! Every flip of the page leads us to Seussian-style humans and creatures we never knew could exist.
