Kenner's books might always get a 5 star from me simply because of the hawt factor. WHEW! Damien Stark makes me blush, gush and flush! LOL! I love it. Hot sex aside, this book had a great flow, some solid story lines and I never found myself getting bored with it, frustrated (as I am known to do with some of my book copules) or ready to put it down. I devoured it like Damien did Nikki every 3 pages...yeahhhh, boy!

I love how Nikki is coming into her own in this book, she's doing some great things with that inner dialogue. I'm so impressed with Kenner's writing style and I'm not too sure how I'm going to wait for the next book because I'm missing Nikki and Damien already!

I struggled with the stars on this one. Let's call it a 3.5. The story is much better without all the needy controlling sexual garbage that muddles an otherwise interesting story/dynamic.

It's better than the last one. I liked the plot.

Didn't really enjoy the start, but got through the end pretty quicky! Being persistent was kind of worth it (though I wanted to kick Nikki's ass myself sometimes).

**ARC provided via NetGalley for an honest review**

The story by it self was ok… But as I read I kept thinking I’ve read this before. The storyline is very similar to the crossfire series. Damien Stark is a billionaire who runs a global empire. He is damaged. There are hints of sexual abuse when he was younger. Nikki is damaged as well she is a cutter. She likes to inflict self pain to get through intense feelings of hurt/anger. Because cutting and self pain in books seems to be what’s in these days…. *rolls eyes*

Damien opens up to Nikki about more of his abusive past. There is still much we don’t know and a lot of unanswered questions, but you really get to understand his ultimate need for control and power

I liked the fact that it picked right up where it left off and didn’t recap a lot from book 1 release me buttttt…… I wasn’t in love with this book. Don’t get me wrong I liked it a lot better than the first it just didn't do wonderful things for me. Maybe I need book 3 to tie things together. I just felt a lot of loose ends with this one.

The sex was hawt tho! But I do like a little more story with my sex.
