Reading this book genuinely changed my life.

Beautiful, poetic, and explains quantum gravity (loop), special relativity, time, granularity, and more elegantly and in an easily understandable form. Perfect read of you want to understand our existence and what the heck atoms and electrons do while we are not looking.

A magnificent read. Carlo Rovelli has done a remarkable job to put down such complicated concepts into simple, easy to understand language. One of best thing about book is style of connecting all the dots throughout history, right from Democritus's theory of atoms in 400BC to Quantum gravity loop in modern era. Definitely, a must-read for anyone who loves Physics.

The stars are deceptive because I did enjoy this book. However, it required considerable time to synthesize the ideas and I forced my husband to read it with me so I could discuss the theories. Overall a good place to begin exploring the quantum nature of things.

La parte teórica del libro está muy bien explicada, y va hilando cada una de las partes densas con chismes de la comunidad científica. En partes se alenta, sobretodo al inicio, pero con un poco de paciencia le pude exprimir mucho a este libro.

An interesting short history of physics.

Some parts can be a bit opaque because the author explains complex issues in only a few chapters.

However, there is a good balance between its accessibility and the level of details of the explanations.

It can be a good starting point for other readings, more detailed and more focused on a one or the other specific topics discussed in this book.
