I love Carlo Rovelli. His writing is so beautiful, and this book was a great explanation of the history behind quantum gravity.
Would have given 3 stars, but most of the book went over my head.
Absolutely loved the flow of the book. The concepts explained beautifully. Physics has indeed found its poet.

This is a clear explanation of the loop theory in physics and off the basic building blocks thereof. The explanation is very clear and understandable for someone like me with no scientific background. Carlo Rovelli has the gift to explain very complex problems and theories in a clear and simple way.
Between the lines you do feel some resentment agains faith and Christianity. I got the feeling that he believes if Christianity had not arrived and thus there would not have been Dark ages our understanding of the world would be much more elaborate.
A recommendation for everyone interested in the current state of Quantum physics

A beautifully told history of physics. My knowledge of physics is minimal so this book was outside my comfort zone and I learnt a lot but this got too deep for me. I do however appreciate the beautiful storytelling and the abundance of information. 3.5/5
