This is a great book club pick (thanks Jerr!) and a great read overall. If I was the kind of rouge person who annotated books I would have tattooed the pages. The language is gorgeous, Adichie has a way of sweeping you up in her world and keeping you there. I'll admit, the book was slow at times but never unnecessary in details or events. I mostly listened to the audiobook (WHICH WAS FANTASTIC). This book really challenged me to think about perspectives so different than my own and the way I perceive myself, relationships, and where I call home.

Content disclaimer: Not a spicy book but one that goes in depth with human affection, relation, and has a potentially triggering scene. It may worth looking in to reviews/common sense media if you have boundaries.

It was really good but lost me in the last third where nothing happened for ages.
