This was a fun paranormal mystery set in the 60s. I loved the art style and I'm always going to be a sucker for a found family. It gave real Scooby Doo vibes too which I'm here for.

It gives you an old time feel but with relevant points. Hardy Boys but with magic! It's very charming and sweet with magic and, mystery, and found family. The adoptive family dynamic is heartwarming, chosen family that will do anything for each other.

A quick, very satisfying read I found through a Storygraph recommendation. Clearly, this app knows me well by now. ;) It took me a few pages to get into the story. But once I was familiar with the protagonists, I was hooked! I loved the way the artist played with monochrome color palettes and the witty banter in the dialogue. The storyline was simple, but the suspense was real! Definitely going to pick up #2 in the series.

WHAT a fun comic! I've been challenging myself to get into more graphic novels/indie comics lately and branch out from my typical Marvel/DC and this was the most lovely discovery.

Picture, if you will, "The Hardy Boys" meets "Sabrina the Teenage Witch." What begins as a mystery for adopted twins Pete and Al rapidly becomes a spooky adventure. Pete, Al, their adopted sister Charlie, adopted parents, and old friend Rachel must race against the clock to prevent a tragedy in their town of Port Howl, New England.

What begins as regular childhood shenanigans escalates into the unravelling of a mystery that's plagued the twins since the untimely death of their parents. The graphic novel is also unique in that it takes place in the 1960s, and addresses (lightly) politics of the time as well as notable events. I'm so looking forward to reading the second volume!!
