This was cute! And very unique in its execution and tone. However, that quirkiness got a bit too much by about 25% in. I personally would've liked it better if there was more of a balance between that style of writing, and a more 'traditional' style—but that's also a personal preference.

I really enjoyed reading about the characters and the shenanigans they got up to, but I didn't love the almost insta-love of the relationship. I can see why they would fall for each other, but it also felt like there was no lead up.

Overall though, a fun read.

This was such a cute and fun read! I really enjoyed how quirky this book was and it kept me interested throughout the whole story. I think that is something that needs to be emphasized when reading books by India Holton. They are not to be taken too seriously because they are lighthearted and fun and full of mystical things that doesn't make sense in the real world. Very much a romcom!

Devon is obsessed with Beth in this book and I loved it. It was refreshing to see a MMC have this tripping after his lover character arc that I rarely see in print books. There is so much silliness in this book that I enjoyed having a bit of real world with their love story. A great, lighthearted read.
