Not great, but not bad either. It’s more of a 2.5 so I’ll finish the next book and see if it gets better

I have no desire to finish reading the series, especially if the author is going to stretch the plot of the first one over to the next two. I don’t even know why I read this book seeing as how I don’t like dark romances or bully romances, but I saw someone say it wasn’t really a dark bully romance, so I thought I would give it the benefit of the doubt. It was fine, I guess, but I have no desire to finish the rest.
Knowing that the 4th book follows Zane and his relationship with his teacher is weird to me. The author seems to have a thing for minor/ adult relationships, and I don’t like that.

I enjoyed this book A LOT! I could not put away Cadence and Dutch's love story for long because it was a classic bully romance with unpredictable twists and turns as their love/hate relationship developed.  One major aspect of the plot was resolved but the cliff hanger, the ease of reading, and the fire between Cadence and Dutch all pushed me to acquire the next book in the series (and the next one and the next one 😂). Of course, I plan to finish this series! It is soooooo good!
