Surrender to Sin is my first Nicola Davidson novel, but it certainly is not planned to be my last! To be completely honest, I found this book via Twitter one day when someone (maybe even the author, I dunno) shared the cover. I immediately fell in love with it, it's positively gorgeous and seductive. So, I bought the book on a whim. Apparently, what I hadn't realized, was that it's erotica!

You know what, though? I was 100% here for it.

Not gonna lie, for such a short novel, I didn't expect to enjoy Surrender to Sin nearly as much as I anticipated! I am quite excited for the next two books, to see how the gentleman of the Fallen pleasure club find their romances (I'm particularly excited for Vice's).

I’m no newby to explicit romance books.. I read one a week when I can and love detailed love scenes! I have almost 200 books of this nature in my kindle but this author is new to me as I’ve run out of books from my slew of other authors.
I love a good sexy love story... however I don’t like buying a romance book which has no romance and only scene after scene of sex, inferences of sex or talks of sex. This book was so beyond unbelievable it was laughable I’m sorry to say. For the h to have basically never even touched herself at 22-23 and then in one request with no qualms.. is ok with a dildo up her bum to walk around with? Are u kidding me? Then on to an orgy?
Yeah this book I can watch on the internet from a porn site. :/ I wanted a romance book also with bits of racy sex. This is so over the top all sex beginning to end of two people who have no clue about one another.

Totally enjoyed this story! The chemistry Grace and Sin have is so well written. From the minute they meet you can feel it crackling between them. I love it when a rake falls head-over-heels in love. Is there anything more gratifying to read?!?!

I don’t tend to like novellas very much because I prefer more developed stories, but this was well done enough. I had the audiobook and the narrator was perfect.

What's really fun about Davidson's novel is the exploration of lesser known historical happenings that break the mold of historical romance. There were 19th century social clubs that catered to sexual exploration. There were bisexual people!

I hear this author getting bad reviews or snark online because her novels don't follow many genre conventions for regency historical romance. I think that's nonsense, and my favorite thing about this book was how the heroine learned about herself and grew as a person through sexual and romantic exploits beyond the hetero monogamous typical narrative. That makes for good erotic romance!
