this book was good at first, but i didn’t love the ending. it was too cheesy. they kept going on and on with how much they loved each other. a little bit is ok, but it was kind of excessive

Too Cute
I have enjoyed this series from Emma Dalton but this one was over the top with the cheese factor. I feel like I just ate a whole charcuterie board by myself.
All the books had a certain level of cutesy cringe but this one took it too far with the “you’re the best” and “no, you’re the best”
The overall plot was good but the characters in this generation don’t have the same appeal. Too redundant maybe?

Too cutesy
Too PC
Too many cliches
Too much of "you're the best, no you're the best moments
Overuse of the word (s) romantic, romance, love, I love you
I love romance, but it feels like the author went way overboard. Granted, this is a YA book and fiction, but it's too much. The relationship is to force in my opinion. This book is also too much like the other books in the series. It's almost carbon copy. All the girls take after their moms it seems like. Even their nickname, Junior musketeers annoyed the living daylights out of me, and that normally wouldn't happen, but it was used way too much.
I did really try to like this book.
I did like Grandpa though. He was great! </Spoiler>

This was formulaic but a decent fluffy romance. I really liked the male lead, who was a great blend of geeky and sporty.
Graphic: Cancer, Grief, and Medical content
Moderate: Abandonment, Death, Gaslighting, Toxic relationship, and Panic attacks/disorders
Minor: Bullying, Child death, Death of parent, and Fire/Fire injury
