Although this is the 3rd book in the series I don't think you necessarily need to read the first two to enjoy the story. Holly is a private investigator hired to find a missing woman. Throughout the course of the investigation she starts to suspect that a serial killer is involved. They way the story is written you know who the killer is as there are chapters written about the crimes. The story is more of a will Holly figure it out type book. Recommend more as a vacation read. Although Stephen King it is not paranormal in topic.
