Book Review…Fate Awakened by Jocelyn Montana

A MONSTER TO EVERYONE BUT HER …Hans lives only for vengeance. No more Pack. No friends. Yet when he meets a dark-haired beauty, desire tears through him and changes everything. But werewolves never take mates, and to claim her would doom him.

AN ORDINARY HUMAN TO EVERYONE BUT HIM …One moment Briony’s eating in the tavern, and the next a necromancer has her tied up in a cave as bait for a werewolf. She needs to escape. Now. Except when the werewolf arrives and she gets her chance, she doesn’t run. And with each day that passes, every gentle touch, every silky purr, the werewolf claws his way into her heart.

BOUND TOGETHER AGAINST AN ANCIENT EVIL …They have one month to work together to take down a sorceress & to decide to remain together. Everyone in Briony’s life has left her. Secrets in Hans’s past prevent him from making Briony his. They may save the world, but will they save each other?

This is a quick entertaining read with plentyof passion and heat! I liked this one! The characters were fun, interesting and they stood out. Briony and Hans's are the definition of opposites attract but it made for a good story seeing them come together and overcome their own personal problems. The details of the fantasy world and the magical creatures were vivid and I really really liked this world! Hopefully there will be some more! Thank you Rockstar Book Tours and Jocelyn Montana for sharing this book with me!

this was pretty cool. I like how they had real feelings not just the soulmates thing because even once the bond was broken and the rune gone they still loved one another and corrected past mistakes. I wish we could have more books from this couple's POVs. It was interesting and while I am looking forward to the other couples none will be as interesting, or unique, as this.

I found the second book of this series on NetGalley and the blurb was 110% hitting everything I wanted to read. So you can bet that I searched for this book, and guess what? It's on Kindle Unlimited.

Honestly... I am obsessed and will be watching and reading anything this author brings out. I am hooked, and I just need more. That is truthfully all I can say about this book at the moment. But come on, "a monster to everyone but her". Vengence, a dark past and Werewolfs? I don't need to hear more to say that I will love this book, and I was not wrong.

seems counterproductive to write a book about a werewolf and then make him not a werewolf anymore

First sex scene is basically sexual assault. She was drugged and couldn’t consent.

I received an ARC copy of this and by the end I was absolutely begging for a second one! Absolutely gorgeous plot, beautiful story, characters are relatable, and a giant cinnamon roll of a monster! 10/10!

I received a copy of this ebook in a Goodreads giveaway. Unfortunately I am not a monster fucker, so this is not for me.

I did enjoy this after a slight concern at the beginning that the MMC was going to be too animal-like perhaps.

Briony's character was strong, often selfless, and determined to settle for nothing less than she deserved. She held her own against Hans' gruffness for the entire book admirably. I am sucker for anything fated mates related, and this definitely hit the spot. A reluctant bonding between a wolf and a woman with unknown magic.

I would have loved a more extended ending to properly show Hans' battle with his own regrets and beginning coming full circle, but the lesson is a powerful one.

Sometimes the power is within us the entire time; we just have to make the harder choice to discover it.
