This isn't Rapunzel retelling but still world building was one things I liked enough. It read fast too but characters and romance are flat.

Honestly? As thankful as I am that I had this book to get me through part of this month, I wish I had read it for the first time next month. I feel I would've been able to enjoy it much more then.

With that said, once I picked it up though, I could not put it down. I nearly instantly fell in love with the dynamic of Selestra and Nox and I just needed to know what their story would bring. I just did what I'm pretty sure was my longest "just another" chapter sequence ever. Enough left of the book for two days, I said! Ah! As if...

I loved it, I really did, made me laugh at a time I very much needed to, but I can't help but feel like I missed the impact a lot of high tension moments at the end because of how I've been lately. But again! The book is awesome (five starts, right there) and I have nothing but thanks to it, it's helped.

Second book I fall head over heels for from this author and I went crazy trying to see if there was more from the hundred kingdoms on the horizon, but there isn't right now so... I will wait. Patiently. They're more than worth it.

What about you? Care to travel by butterfly?

I liked this more than To Kill A Kingdom??
Also, I really assumed this being a nr2 in a series that there would be crossovers but there were none (or if there were, I completely missed them)
So I'd rather see them as complete stand-alones. But yeah, liked this a lot. Lot of action, not your average heroin main character
