I finished it, but didn’t want to finish it, I fell in love with all the characters, the humour and heartbreak.
Imagine having a carefree life, coming and going as you please, quitting things you didn’t enjoy. Then suddenly following a tragedy you take over caring for a teenager and a toddler.
Albert the neighbour is just a beautiful character and everyone has a side to them you can relate to or know someone who is like that.

I absolutely adored this book. I started reading it and found I couldn't put it down, I was sucked into the story and the heartbreaking start immediately. I just loved it. I've read other books by Sarah Turner and although I enjoyed them this was definitely my favourite. I'm so pleased she made the leap to novels. I can't wait to read any future books by her. Highly recommend if you want a lovely heartwarming, yet also heartbreaking in places, beautiful book to read.

Loved it. Easy to read, draws you in, emotive and enjoyable.

This is just one of those books you start to read and know that you are going to love it.
Beth doesn't have a good track record on the commitment front. She regularly quits jobs and relationships, still lives with her Mum and Dad and the only thing she remains committed to is Friday night drinks with her platonic friend, Jory.
In a split second, Beth's life is turned upside down. She finds herself responsible for her teenage niece and toddler nephew. Suddenly life is stroppy teenagers, nursery and parent's night. With her track record, her Mum doesn't think she will cope and regularly lets Beth know.
However, everyone, including herself, has underestimated Beth and she proves, with the help of Albert, her elderly, lonely neighbour and others, that she is capable of stepping up and taking responsibility.
