I was really enjoying this comic, but something strange happened and has kept me from rating it higher.
When I got to the third chapter and the artist switched, for some reason the designs of some characters seemed to completely change? Now I understand character drawn by different artists in a different style will often change appearance and feel slightly different, but a few of the characters here seemed to undergo a complete transformation. Like a bearded grey haired old man turning into a clean shaven and much younger looking blonde man in the continuation of the same scene.
The same happened with another character, completely changing appearance and actually even more oddly ended up looking like the original design of the first character who changed? I found it very confusing, and it left me finding the whole thing quite hard to follow and all the investment I had built up in the characters and story completely disappearing, taking a lot of the punch out of the conclusion for me.
I mean maybe I missed something somewhere that explains what happened? But i couldn’t figure it out, and It’s a shame because aside from this confusion I really quite enjoyed the rest of the comic.
