Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an advance copy of this book in return for an honest review.

The authors are Egyptologists who examine the intriguing and controversial reign of King Tut's parents, Akhenaten and Nefertiti.  Previous biographies sometimes paint different, and even contradicting, pictures of this royal couple.  The authors use excavations, museums, hieroglyphic texts and artifacts as clues, and reconstruct the reign of Akhenaten and Nefertiti.

Unfortunately, I had a hard time following the information.  There is an immense amount presented, as well as discussion.  It read in some parts like a textbook, and some parts were historical fiction.  The book is well-researched and and will definitely delight those who have more than just a passing interesting in Egyptology.
