Impressive new novel from Bradley. It's a climate change novel that progressively moves into the future. I've read a few novels recently that have elements of this, including David Mitchell's The Bone Clocks and Christopher Priest's The Adjacent, but unlike those, this one is set entirely in the future. It's most reminiscent of Steven Amsterdam's Things We Didn't See Coming, with its linked episodes. The science fiction elements are light with the focus on the characters and the catastrophic events alluded to more often than they're directly experienced.

Really loved the story telling. Left me wanting more each time / section (which was very frustrating in the beginning) but a clever way of crafting the book. Beautiful story.

Decent, quick read about the end of the world. Australian perspective told in stages that skip through time and through generations. Aside from the exposition dump at the start (pretty awful and boring really) and 1 or 2 weak segments this was a good and entertaining read. Also quite realistic but never went into too much detail. End of the world due to climate change and collapse was done more intestingly in The Book of Strange New Things, and the narrative shape of the novel was done better in Things We Didn't See Coming by Steven Amsterdam.
