Very fast-pased, action-packed, YA/middle grade book. Really nice diverse cast of characters and a few cute animals. Wholesome and adventerous story. If you like or are interested in the ocean and/or animals you would especially enjoy the book. The second part of the story was more interesting to me than the first part.

Loved this - it feels like a step more mature than Ricks other books, which I love, while still being accessible to all. Also, canon autistic character and diverse cultural representations? Yes please!!

I would love to see this turned into a movie, the oceanic adventure had a setting that was really nicely detailed.  The characters were great—as if I’d expect anything else from Uncle Rick—the diversity he brings to this book is represented so nicely through out it.  Not to mention this was the first book by a cis man who normalized periods in fiction let alone young fiction.  This book was just so good.

Very good. Badass female MC. I loved learning about the school.

The first half was excellent, the second half lost steam a bit. Romeo's role was a bit too farfetched for me.

Seems crazy that they just let LI go at the end.
