I really loved the characters and I love that Rick Riordan always has a diverse cast without it being forced.
I didn't like it as much as some of his other books, maybe because it was about technology and not about mythology and that just wasn't that interesting to me.

I also didn't love that the audience has no chance to grow attached to the HP because it only exists for like 5 minutes. That made it hard for me to really feel bad about it being destroyed.

Aside from that I think it's a really good book.

Considering how Rick Riordan is my favorite author thanks to the PJO, HoO, and ToA series, it is no surprise I am not disappointed with this book. It was a beautiful story and had me crying a few times, which rarely happens when I read. I love the premise of this being a sort of what-if future story related to Captain Nemo’s stories. And the characters were either really loveable or made to rip your damn heart out and want to sock them in the jaw.

Also, Top, Romeo, Socrates, and Jupiter are best boys

A very fun, sweet, and diverse little adventure under the sea! I really liked the blend of fiction with reality and just all the little plot moments. I'm excited to read more in this world.
