What!? It was really hard for me to get into. Once I finally did, it was okay but I'm not sure I have any idea about the ending? I Now understand what happened with Gaby, but am I supposed to know what happened with Bronte? Also, the excuse and how the situation with Gaby went down.. Lame. So so lame. Disappointment overall. I still liked the book enough I suppose. I did enjoy a few of the characters. It's unfortunate, because I enjoyed and the author's first book I read.
I liked this book had me hooked and had to stay up to finish! The healthy relationship between the main character and his partner was so refreshing. It was nicely wrapped up and the twist was good and made sense!
I thought this was good!! I honestly completely forgot about some parts/characters while reading, so the ending was a little bit of a shock. But, I still wanted a little more.

Love all of Jane Harper's books. Lost Man is my favorite and The Dry. But this is quite a page turner. She writes such fully formed characters and settings are incredible.

It was clear there would be some kind of pedophilia mentioned. I didn't think it was worth it to keep going and find out, so I googled trigger warnings (idk why I don't always do this before reading a book!!) And I was right.
Despicable.
Despicable.
