This one just didn’t get me invested in the characters. When they started saying that they loved each other I couldn’t think of a single reason why, which made the rest of the book a little ridiculous to me

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/🌶️🌶️

This sapphic coffee shop owner X writer romcom is both sweet and poignant. It’s such an easy read, and the writing is really well done.

Charlie and Mack have amazing chemistry from the start, but as you find out more about their pasts and previous relationships, it’s easy to see why it takes them so long to get together. Each character goes on an emotional journey within themselves, and with each other, and it’s a beautiful ride.

I really liked getting to see snippets of Mack’s writing, and the chapter titles were a super fun addition.

It’s easy to understand why everything falls apart in the inevitable third act breakup, but the way they resolve it is so precious.

If you like sweet, slightly angsty HEAs this is definitely for you!

Thank you, NetGalley and Storm Publishing, for a gifted copy of this new release.

'Not In the Plan', is my first book by this author, and I must say it was a delightful read.
The sweet romance between Mack and Charlie was portrayed realistically, and by the end of the book, I felt like I had made two new friends. Although they are complete opposites, their connection is executed beautifully.

However, I think the book could have been a little faster-paced, as it sometimes felt frustratingly slow. Additionally, it doesn't offer anything particularly unique from other books in the genre.

Despite these minor flaws, I still found it to be an entertaining read and finished it within 24 hours.
I would recommend it to anyone looking for a light and sweet romance.

'Not In the Plan' will be available from January 31st, 2024.
