Cress & Elias’ love story is an example of what it means to love someone for better or for worse. KC Mills did an amazing job showing how mental illness can be misunderstood and how people dealing with it can be loved and given a chance at living a beautiful life.
Overall this story had me emotional with how beautiful it was

Didn't expect to loke this as much as I did. I think Mills did a good job of presenting bipolar disorder here with her character, how important it is for persons with mental illness to have supportive and understanding people in their corner. I liked the heat between Cress and Elias and I enjoyed the development of their relationship. Her banter with her best friend was also hilarious to me and I wanted more.

Trust, Loyalty, Respect, and Communication

I can't stop thinking about these characters! I absolutely loved the energy and determination from both Cress and Elias. This is a modern day marriage of convenience done right. Ms. Mills did a great job featuring a main character with a mental illness. The fact that Elias made his mental health a priority and was intentional in maintaining a strict regimen only endeared him to me on a deeper level. The loyalty and love that developed between Cress and Elias was a thing of beauty. The family business and drama heightened the stakes. I am already planning a re-read. This will definitely be one of my top reads of 2023!
