Oh how I loved Come Again ❤️ Actor and comedian Robert Webb has written an emotional and witty story of grief, self discovery and time travel and I couldn’t put it down.
The characters in this book are wonderful. The main character Kate begins the book in a very dark place, grieving the loss of her husband Luke. 9 months earlier he died suddenly and she still has not come to terms with it. She has pushed her loved ones away, she has been fired from her job and she spends her days and nights drinking herself to sleep.
When she wakes one morning back in her 1992 college dorm room she sees a chance to save Luke. She knows that he was sick back then, as a 19 years old student. And this is the day that she firsts meets her future husband.
Kate learns a lot about herself, family and friends through this journey. What she has always believed to be true is not exactly how things were. The trip back in time is hilarious, with Kate meeting her friends all over again and trying not to talk about anything that hasn’t already happened in this time period. 90’s fashion and music galore... it is a step back in time for all.
A big thank you to Allen and Unwin for my copy of this book to read. All opinions are my own and are in no way biased

It’s been nine months since Kate Marsden lost her husband Luke due to a tumor in his brain, she drinks heavily so she can dream of him. The dreams she has of them meeting for the first time always change but her memories remain the same. Kate is having a difficult time comprehending the fact Luke had a slow growing tumor before they met and they never knew, even though he showed small signs they blew off. Kate works her IT job in auto pilot and her boss is a jerk. She uncovers some dark information that her boss is hiding explosive secrets, but she doesn’t know what do with it so she hides the information on a memory stick. Ten thousand days since the day she first met Luke at the bar while she was in college she goes home. She tells herself one more dream. Kate wakes up in a fog and in her Benedict College bed, and she’s eighteen it’s the first day she met Luke in October 1992 and she realizes it’s not a dream! She’s determined to save Luke or he will die at the age of forty seven. The only challenge she faces is she’s not feeling the same for Luke when she “first meets him again” she sees the lies he tells and his stuck up attitude about his manuscript she still has her forty year old mind in her eighteen year old body. With so much at stake Kate faces quite a few ordeals and sees and old friend in a new light. I loved this book I’m giving it four stars. It’s so much more than a love story with a dash of spies! Kate was hilarious at times .

Thanks to NetGalley and Hachette Audio for a free audiobook in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. Release date: 14 July 2020.
What a ride! Never, and I do mean never, has a book made me laugh out loud as much as this one has.
The premise drew me in (a widow travels back in time and decides to try to save her husband's life) but the humour is what got me to stay.
I thought this was going to be a sweet, different romance, but it took so many twists and turns that I don't know what to classify it as, except for an insanely witty, insanely good book.

Can you fall in love for the first time twice? A recently widowed women is about to find out when she wakes up and finds herself eighteen again in this "compelling" story of second chances.
Kate is heartbroken. Her husband and love of her life recently died from a brain tumour. One that had been growing since the day they met. When Kate wakes up, eighteen again, the day that she is about the meet her husband for the first time, she has to decide what to do.
Do you rewrite history? Or let it stay the same?
I wanted to love this book, but I found it a little disjointed. Maybe it was because it took me so long to read it? I don’t know...but I just found that it didn’t seem to fit together very well for me. The moment she wakes up, back in her college dorm room, it goes into this magical/realism type style. This just didn’t play out how I expected and it seemed to be over VERY quick. Which felt weird, considering this is what the book is meant to be based around?
The writing of the book is great, and there were some really lovely moments - moments that make you laugh and make you cry. I just felt like the plot line let it down for me.
