Robert Webb is one of the funniest people in the world and this book showcases his awesome humour. For that alone it gained a star rating!

Generally this book was good - a great focus and dissection of grief and loss at the start of the book and a raw look at suicidal tendencies.

But the two timelines felt a little out of place, a little rushed. It took me some time to realise what was going on and to keep up with the two plots, despite them being clearly divided.

I liked the idea of this story, and found it hilarious in places, however, there was so many problems with the new app, it spoilt the whole experience. Tracks jumping, repeating, pausing constantly. It was frustrating and took all focus from the audiobook. A shame really. I think it could be a good book.

This book is split into three parts, each very different from one another. The description/synopsis describes (in my opinion) a very different story from what it actually is...

I didn’t love the story, or the different themes that make up the whole (especially towards the end) but I did enjoy a Webb’s writing style and the humour throughout.

Its hard to accurately rate this book. The writing is funny, and the pacing of the story is good. The first two parts of the novel, about trying to save someone by going back in time, whilst not wholly original are page turning, but the 3rd part and the descent into a thriller is a bit jarring. The epilogue at the end is a nice touch, and leaves the reader with more questions than answers.

Time travelling, spies, action, love and just the right level of silliness to be rather amusing.

First of all, this book is not what I expected at all. After reading the synopsis I thought it was going to be a typical rom com type of book but there is a lot more to it than that. Come Again is a story of love and loss but with some humour and random action thrown in.

Kate Marsden’s husband of 28 years has passed away from a slow growing brain tumour and her life starts to go downhill. She doesn’t care about anything anymore and just drinks the day away. Kate ends up losing her job where she works for a very dodgy businessman who is involved in some sort of Russian gangster types. Kate has hold of an incriminating USB stick that can ruin her former boss’s reputation and out a scandal about the Russians he was keeping quiet.

In the midst of all that going on, Kate has very vivid dreams of Luke and one night she relives her first day at University. Is it dream or is it actually happening? Kate has a lot of decisions to make as to whether she does everything the same as before or changes history.

The story appears to be split into three different sections, the part where Kate is grieving, the part where she seems to be dreaming or time travelling to her University days and then the last part is a car chasing comic-dramatic ending if thats even a word?! You just need to read it to know what I mean!

I especially loved all the early 90’s nostalgia in this book with talk of whats happening politically, the music scene and well known names from that point in time.

This is unlike anything I have ever read before! My advice is that when you read this book just throw out all disbelief and take it for what it is. It is quite a far fetched, silly read but it adds to the magic of the book. If you are a big fan of Robert Webb from his TV shows then I am sure you will especially love it. Overall, I really enjoyed it and recommend it.

*I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review*

After the death of Kate's husband, Luke, she is devastated. They fell in love the moment they saw each other 28 years ago. Grieving, Kate is ready to give up, but then she wakes up in her old body on the night she first met the love of her life. Kate sets off on a quest to save Luke from the choices he made earlier in his life and prevent his early death.

This was extremely average for me... I didn't care much for Kate or the other characters or what happened to them. The romance seemed forced, I didn't feel a connection between Kate and Luke at all, they honestly seemed to despise each other. The idea of the time-traveling was cool, but then by Part 3 of the book you're thrown into this grand adventure that made no sense with the rest of the story. It was a very easy read though and flew by rather quickly, but it was nothing memorable in my opinion.

Not even Olivia Colman's narration could save this strange, disjointed story.
