This boy tries very hard to act like a lion to earn his diploma...but it looks like he might not have the skills...YET. Might be useful to talk about growth-mindset.

Thoroughly entertaining tale of a boy's lessons in lion-ing. Would be a popular readaloud.

The interactions between the boy and the lion are cute but I felt this book was a little too pro-cat and anti-dog.

Can you become a lion with some hard work and effort? Read to find out! Delightful.

June 2018 - enjoyable and clever, but not my favorite Agee.

Do you have what it takes to earn your lion diploma?

Same author as yesterday's book, whoooo. I didn't like this one as much, however the Lion instructor really saved it for me. He's never impressed, kind of sarcastic and clearly unsatisfied until the end. Once again, the ending was a cute little joke. I wonder if that's a Agee theme?
