Imagine signing up to mate and Alien and find yourself in the middle of galaxy wars.

Esme is pretty much fed up with the men on Earth and took a chance and joined an alien bride program in an attempt to mate a Grekarian to further their species. Haax is a Commander of the Flighten as well as the protector of the Prince of Grekaris and humans alike.

The Necorium has been enemies of the Grekarians for a long time. For many years the Grekarian's vast technology has always kept them ahead of the game but Haax is quickly learning that the Necorium are growing bolder and bolder with each attack they make trying to steal human females.

Haax and Esme couldn't enjoy having a mating night because things pretty much went to sh*t as soon as Haax and his men arrived to Earth to collect their mates.

What I liked about this story is the face that through the alien bride program the aliens and the human women selected were given the opportunity to speak to each other daily getting to know one another, unlike most scifi romances where an alien finds a mate and they consummate quickly thereafter without even knowing anything about each other.

This was a quick, steamy and action packed read. Haax and Esme finally got to their HEA and it was a journey worth taking.

This is the second standalone novella in a shared world. The plot is pretty straightforward and conflict is resolved quickly. The romance is slow burn with a couple steamy scenes. As with the first book, the alien MC has special equipment but the FMC doesn’t really get to experience much than she would with a human partner. I hope in future books the uniqueness is explored further.

This is Book 2 in the Grekarian Mates series. In this story, we see a different POV of the relationship between the Grekarians and humans through Haxx and Esme. I enjoyed this story as much as the first, and we learned much more about Grekarian life.

Haxx and Esme are so adorable together and I love how he constantly reassures her that her curvy, plump figure is nothing to be ashamed of. I was extremely happy to see Rhea and Traxx from Book 1 make an appearance. Unlike Rhea's story, Esme has chosen to become a Grekarian bride and is waiting to meet Haxx when everything goes terribly awry as we find out just how much of a danger the Necorium are. I'm looking forward to more books in this series.

Esme, the female human lead, has been anticipating meeting her matched alien mate, Haax, the male lead, but enemies of another alien species are determined to interfere with their mating, attempting to eradicate Haax's species...

This novella is dual POV, and an interesting story that felt like world building for future stories. I appreciated Esme's patience with the ongoing changes in demands based on Haax's work role. I was amused at both characters' frustration at impediments to their intimacy. I enjoyed Haax's commitment to building Esme's self-esteem. I found the resolution cute and sweet.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
