I love a story of unrequited love from the hero and understood Daisy’s thoughts on the Matthew she thought she used to know. I enjoyed the two getting to know one another and seeing the gruff Matthew soften around Daisy. I liked both of the MC and how they were able to find moments together and just found them cute.
There is some POV from Lillian and Westcliff with her not trusting Matthew’s feelings for Daisy and how his trustworthiness of Matthew plays in towards the end. The conflict and resolution of sibling was also nice. I think I liked this one as much as I do because of the conflict at the end didn’t cause feelings to change between the MC.
I was surprised to find everyone at yet another house party at Westcliff’s estate. While it’s a hunting party designed to bring eligible gentlemen to the estate for Daisy’s choosing, it’s during the time for what should be Lillian’s confinement. This bothered me more than it probably should have.
There are three steamy encounters.

Matthew was great as an MMC, and truly felt like a good balance to Daisy. Unfortunately, I found the character of Daisy wasn't portrayed the way that was intended, as other characters consistently described her as whimsical but her actual character seemed almost normal, with the occasional quip. Although I found this as a great improvement in terms of liking Daisy, it was still annoying to read about.
I personally enjoyed the subplots and the insights back into the existing characters. It was lovely to see the progression of Lillian and Marcus, and the intimacy that had developed between the wallflowers.
My biggest quip with the story was the overarching secret, which ultimately seemed to be wrapped up in a chapter; there was an overload of drama, then absolutely none, with everything resolved in an epilogue (which felt wrong). Additionally, I felt Matthew was out-of-character during that whole ordeal. I didn't feel we got the same satisfying conclusion as the other stories.
