TLDR: If you read this far you like the series.

Longer Review: Another solid entry.

Spoiler Review:
The volume starts off with Shirogane's efforts to make Shinomiya confess. He has gone on the offensive, getting objective opinions, telling her she is cute, and even asking her on a date. I also really enjoy the other side stories in this volume. I think you could argue they are set up and less interesting, but I still laughed and found them really enjoyable to read.

This volume feels very much like preparation for what is about to happen. Everyone is preparing for the school culture festival with some side gag chapters along the way. However, the very last chapter showing Shirogane in his first year was a great one to end with. Overall, 3.6 but rounding up to 4.

4 stars.

OH MY GOD ITS HAPPENING!!!!!! I can't believe we are finally at the point where Miyuki and Kaguya both acknowledged their feelings for each other (not to the other person, of course, but at least to themselves). AND THEY BOTH WANT TO CONFESS!!!

Also the line, "If the one to fall in love first is the loser, Shirogane was defeated long ago" makes me want to scream. He literally feel for her the day that they met!!!! WTF!!!!

With the two of them being on the defensive and playing mind games for so long, there has only been a stalemate with a few real developments so far. So, Shirogane is finally like enough is enough, time to get on the offensive, which changes the dynamic because Kaguya is used to playing with and predicting about a more cautious Shirogane, and him being pretty much straight-forward is messing with her plans. The school festival is approaching, and while Shirogane is hoping to make progress, the fact that Kaguya thinks he has some new mind game going on makes for a more hilarious outcome. But its not just about these two - the other characters also shine in this volume. Chika has to restrain herself from helping out Shirogane with any new training, much to his despair. Meanwhile, he himself has been thinking about how much appeal he has towards girls. I think one of the funniest moments was when his sister asks to see the 'cool' outfit he has planned to visit her school's festival, and he turns up in the most ridiculous emo/trying-too-hard outfit. Kei is ruthless towards her family members, OMG! Ishigami is meanwhile, trying to impress a senior, and Ino can see through all his efforts. I am still confused over the timeline because again they are in second year, but a few volumes ago, Shirogane and Kaguya had decided to serve another term on the student council (was that term as in semester, or term as in year?) So, overall, loads of prep for the school festival, and the shenanigans that happen in between.
